These terms govern use of Northdale public website information and request forms. They explain the limits of online requests, the role of insurance policies and carriers, and appropriate use of the site.
Website operator and scope
This website is operated by Northdale Insurance Agency, Inc., an independent insurance agency at 4630 W Jennifer Ave, Suite 103A, Fresno, CA 93722. Our California insurance license number is 6015094. Contact services@northdaleinsurance.com or (559) 777-7657 with questions.
These terms apply to northdaleinsurance.com and other Northdale pages that link to them. They address website use and requests submitted through the site. Insurance policies, binders, endorsements, premium finance agreements and payment authorizations have their own terms. Those documents and applicable law control the insurance or financial transaction. These website terms do not amend them.
If a particular website feature requires an agreement, we will present the applicable terms and obtain the acceptance required for that feature. Browsing a privacy notice or merely entering contact information is not a substitute for a separate consent required by law.
General information and availability
Coverage descriptions, articles, FAQs, examples and illustrations are general information. Actual coverage depends on the insurer's policy wording, endorsements, exclusions, limits, deductibles, conditions and applicable law. A short description cannot list every condition or exclusion. Discuss your particular operation and needs with an appropriately licensed producer.
We offer insurance services only where the agency and responsible producer are licensed and authorized. Product availability, pricing, eligibility and carrier participation vary by state and risk. Independent does not mean that we represent every insurer or guarantee the lowest available price.
Quote requests and binding coverage
Submitting a quote form begins a request for assistance. It is not an insurance application unless expressly identified as one, and it does not constitute a quote, binder, policy or acceptance of a risk. A displayed estimate or preliminary indication may change when underwriting information is reviewed.
Coverage takes effect only when bound by the insurer or a properly authorized representative under the applicable authority and confirmed effective terms. A website submission, automatic acknowledgement, payment receipt, email delivery notice or appointment confirmation does not itself establish coverage. Do not cancel existing coverage solely because you requested a quote or submitted a payment.
Quotes may have expiration dates, subjectivities, inspection or documentation requirements and conditions for payment or acceptance. Review the written quote and binding instructions. No website statement guarantees issuance, renewal, availability of financing or an underwriting exception.
Policy changes and cancellations
Use the Client Center form to request a change, including additions or removals of vehicles or drivers, changes in business information or another service request. You must have authority to act for the insured. We may verify the request through contact information already in our records and request supporting documents or an authorized signature.
A desired effective date is a request, not an approved date. A change, cancellation, reinstatement or addition is effective only as authorized and confirmed under the policy, the insurer's requirements and applicable law. Additional premium, return premium, minimum earned premium, fees, finance changes or underwriting approval may apply. A general acknowledgement is not approval of a requested change.
If the request is urgent or an operation will change before you receive confirmation, contact our office and the insurer as appropriate. Do not assume a new driver, vehicle, cargo exposure, route or operation is covered based solely on a submitted request.
Certificates and additional insured requests
A certificate of insurance is evidence of the coverage described as of its issuance, subject to the actual policy. A certificate does not itself create, extend or alter coverage, change exclusions, guarantee future coverage or amend an insurer's cancellation obligations.
Naming a certificate holder does not automatically make that person an additional insured, loss payee or other insured party. Selecting the additional insured box on our form is a request for review. Any required status depends on the policy language, applicable endorsement, insurer approval and other requirements. Special wording requested by a broker, shipper or contract may not be available or permitted.
Provide accurate holder information and only the details needed for the request. We verify authority before releasing policy information. A third party's certificate request is not authority to obtain an insured's entire file or confidential driver records.
Claims and urgent matters
For an emergency or immediate danger, call 911. Follow the policy's claim reporting instructions and notify the insurer promptly, including through its after-hours claims channel when our office is closed. You may also contact Northdale for assistance reporting and following up on a claim. Do not delay reporting while waiting for our reply.
General website forms and ordinary email are not continuously monitored emergency reporting systems. A form submission does not necessarily satisfy notice to an insurer. Coverage, liability, investigation, valuation and payment decisions are made by the responsible insurer or authorized claims representative under the policy and law. Our assistance does not guarantee coverage, settlement, payment or reimbursement and does not authorize repairs, towing, rental expenses or a settlement on an insurer's behalf unless expressly authorized.
Payments and premium finance
The Pay Your Bill link opens a separately operated ePayPolicy payment page. Review the payee, policy or account reference, amount, payment type and any disclosed processing charge before authorizing a payment. Do not enter card or bank credentials in a Northdale quote, contact or service form.
A processor's receipt is not necessarily confirmation that an insurer or finance company has received, posted or accepted the payment for the intended obligation. Processing times, cutoff times, bank returns and cancellation or reinstatement requirements depend on the applicable provider and transaction. A payment after a due date does not itself waive fees, prevent cancellation or restore coverage. Contact the appropriate biller immediately for a pending cancellation or reinstatement.
Premium finance is a separate agreement with the finance provider. Any installment options, down payment, APR, fees and cancellation rights must be confirmed in that agreement. A website inquiry does not authorize recurring debits or promise that a down payment can be financed. Recurring payments require a separate valid authorization.
Accurate information and permitted use
Provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and correct material errors promptly. Do not impersonate another person or act for an insured without authority. Submit information about drivers, employees, certificate holders or other people only when you have an appropriate basis to do so.
Do not use the site to commit fraud, transmit malware, interfere with service, probe protected systems without authorization, evade access controls, harvest personal information or submit unlawful material. Do not put passwords, full government identifiers, complete financial account data or medical records in general forms. Ask for an approved collection method when sensitive documents are necessary.
Communications and separate consents
We may respond to your request through the contact details provided, subject to applicable law and your instructions. Our Text Message Consent and Opt Out Terms govern optional texts. Marketing SMS consent and marketing email preferences are separate choices. Acceptance of these website terms does not automatically enroll you in marketing or electronic delivery of legally required records.
Where software helps route inquiries or provide an acknowledgement, its output does not replace an authorized insurance decision. If an automated response is unclear, seek confirmation from our office. A future chatbot or account portal may have additional terms and notices before use.
Privacy and external services
Our Privacy Policy explains applicable information practices. The site includes third-party services and links, including ePayPolicy and map links. Those services may have separate terms, privacy practices and availability limitations. Review them before proceeding. Nothing here eliminates Northdale's obligations for services or information processing performed on its behalf.
Website content and intellectual property
Northdale or its licensors own the site content, design, branding and other protected materials. You may view, download or print reasonable portions for personal use or your own insurance business with us, preserving notices. You may retain policy, consent and transaction records provided to you. Other reuse, commercial republication or misleading use of our name or logo requires permission unless allowed by law.
Submitting an inquiry gives us permission to use it only as reasonably needed for the request and other disclosed lawful purposes. It does not give us a perpetual right to use your private insurance information in public advertising.
Availability and limitations
We use reasonable efforts to maintain useful, accurate information but do not promise that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. We may correct errors, update content or restrict improper use. We will not use a website change to retroactively alter an issued policy or an established legal right.
To the extent permitted by law, Northdale is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from the use or unavailability of general website information. This provision does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or excuse fraud, willful misconduct, unlawful conduct, or professional duties owed in an insurance transaction. It does not reduce an insurer's obligations or a consumer's statutory rights.
Governing law and concerns
California law governs these website terms to the extent permitted by applicable law, without depriving you of nonwaivable protections of another applicable jurisdiction. Nothing here requires arbitration, waives a jury or class proceeding, shortens a statutory deadline, or prevents a complaint to an insurance or privacy regulator. We encourage you to contact us promptly about an issue so we can address it.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. These terms govern only the website matters within their scope and do not supersede a separately executed insurance, finance or service agreement.
Updates and contact
We may revise these terms prospectively and identify the effective date. Where a change requires affirmative acceptance, we will obtain it through the relevant process.
